23 Catfiddle Street
This 880-square-foot house was designed for a narrow backyard in downtown Charleston, which later became incorporated into Catfiddle Street. The 3-story house is only 13'-5" wide, and contains two bedrooms and two baths. The interiors are finished in tongue-and-groove wood with decorative trim made from old pine siding. The house makes use of numerous sustainable technologies, including double windows, spray-foam insulation, and a geothermal heat pump. It was completed in 2008. Designed as a collaboration between George Holt and Andrew Gould.
