163 & 165 Line Street
A pair of new houses designed for a vacant downtown lot. They stand directly behind a grand 1901 commercial building. They are beautifully detailed, styled to recall the turn-of-century vintage of the site. A wraparound porch angles around the huge pecan tree and presents a sidewalk entrance in the form of a traditional Charleston 'piazza door'. The project was completed in 2018 and won a Carolopolis Award for new construction.
