267 Rutledge Avenue
This historic commercial building was built in 1901 as a grocery store with residence above. It occupies a prominent corner lot in downtown Charleston. Over time the storefront was modified and the building deteriorated extensively. We designed a complete rehabilitation of the structure, including a meticulous reconstruction of the original storefront. The previously unfinished attic was made habitable with the addition of dormer windows, and the upstairs now accommodates two spacious apartments with separate entrances.
